Xavier’s Race

Xavier’s Race is inspired by the incredible life of Xavier Randolph. Xavier was the type of man who set high goals and worked hard to achieve them, and he inspired others to do the same. Whether it was athletic pursuits, friendships, or academics, Xavier lived passionately and cared deeply. Above all, Xavier aimed to please the Lord. He knew the purpose of life was to know, love, and serve Jesus and he centered his life upon this reality.

Forged Ministry was incredibly blessed to serve Xavier and work alongside him. He was integral to many of our events and became a mentor with our Leadership Cohort. Xavier died in a swimming accident on July 8, 2025 at the age of 18. Even since his death, he continues to inspire others and impact our ministry.

Xavier’s Race aims to combine Xavier’s pursuit of the Lord with his love for running...specifically to finish well and help others to do the same. It is a community event that provides an outlet for those who love to run recreationally or competitively. It hopes to embody Xavier’s witness to “run in such a way as to win” (1 Cor 9:24).
